JUDITH PRICTOR - Artist Statement
Steep cliffs falling into wild seas, silver grasses shimmering on black sands, coloured boulders, black boulders, circles of sea water scattered amongst patterns in black sand.
Time and storm weathered rocks and land isolated now from the cliffs they once belonged to.
Apricot skies and grey clouds edged with orange and red, floating in the early morning sunrise and evening sunset.
A shipwreck embedded amongst forest giants each becoming one by the angry seas and constant exposure to the elements.
In my work created during and after the road trip, I have endeavored to capture the essence of the coastal environment.
